Erik Hannerz is a researcher and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Lund University, Sweden and a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology, Yale University, USA. He received his PhD at Uppsala University in 2014 on a dissertation on subcultural theory, with punk as the main case. The last decade he has spent researching graffiti and especially its spatial aspects. Hannerz is the cofounder of Urban Creativity Lund, and coordinator for the master of science program in Cultural Criminology at Lund University.
